Randleman’s Ryan Wilson qualified sixth and started in third position after the draw among 11 cars.
“We ran with the leaders during the beginning of the race and stayed in about third through 25 laps,” said Kirk Bryant, crew chief. “We had a mechanical failure in the brakes that took us out of the race.”
Bryant said he thinks the issue is in the brake pedal which locked the brakes up. The team will spend this week trying to locate and fix the problem so that they can be back on the track again this coming weekend.
Wilson’s next race is Aug. 2 at Caraway Speedway in a 75 lap event.
