Trinity, SE Guilford end golf season

ASHEBORO —
Trinity turned in a 158 at Asheboro Municipal Golf Course to edge SE Guilford's 159. Ragsdale (162) was third followed by Randleman (167), Southwestern Randolph (171), Eastern Randolph (171) and Asheboro (174). Steve Heath of SEG was the medalist.
Trinity was led by John Dillon's 38, Andrew Kersey (39), Adam Kersey (40), Webb Grubb (41) and Matt Dominick (41). Nick Cromer paced Randleman with a 38 followed by Josh Brown (40), Ryan Pearce (44) and Jordan Pugh (45).
For SW Randolph it was Zach Higgins (39), Sam Cranford (41), Iaan Moore (43) and Tucker Thomas (48). Eric Hutchins led E. Randolph with a 40 and Cody Allen (43), Josh Langley (44) and Parker Henry (44). AHS was paced by Kevin Murphy (42), Dalton Leonhardt (44), Kirby Moffitt (44) and Michael Tylicki (44).
SE Guilford captured the regular season golf title with 1,097 team points, while Trinity was runnerup with 1,111. Ragsdale (1,164), Randleman (1,169), SW Randolph (1,187), Asheboro (1,194) and E. Randolph (1,259) rounded out the standings.
Postseason competition begins this week with Randleman's Brown and Cromer qualifying along with Leonhardt of AHS and Cranford of SWR.
Earlier last week, SE Guilford took top team honors in a match at Tot Hill Farms Golf Club with a 160 total. SW Randolph (167) was runnerup followed by Randleman (169), Ragsdale (170), Trinity (173), Asheboro (181) and E. Randolph (200).
