Eighteen years ago God gave Jeta Price of Asheboro a vision. He wanted her to organize a choir to serve in various ways in the communities and churches. The choir would consist of members from throughout Randolph County and surrounding areas.
In February 1991 the Randolph County Anointed Mass Choir was formed.
Thirty two choir members from 16 different churches and various denominations in Randolph County mingle their voices together and spread the word through their ministry in song.
She said, “The main mission of the choir is to bring souls to Christ by the way we live.”
They help the sick and shut-in and those in need due to circumstances that have incurred due to limited resources.
Price says, “We love to participate in community or city functions when available and we do love serving our God.”
Their motto is “We are ministers of His word and are to govern ourselves according.”
The officers are Jeta Price, president; Cynthia Price, vice president; Fay Bynum, secretary; Vincent Jordan, treasurer; Paulette Cross, newsletter editor; and musicians Jamie Parsons, Quincy Price and Ricky Price.
After finishing school many young people from the surrounding areas have moved away in pursuit of better career opportunities. Occasionally I would like to do a “What Ever Happened To?” feature.
The people back home would be interested in where they are now and how they are doing.
Please let me know if you know someone who would be willing to be spotlighted.
Until next week remember: If you tried to do something and failed, you are vastly better off than if you had tried to do nothing and succeeded.
