RAG names officers

ASHEBORO — The Randolph Arts Guild elected board members, officers and the nominating committee during its annual meeting held recently.

Board members elected were Carolina Aguero, Debra Spinks, Janice Simpson and Nan Revell for a first term and Sam Rankin, Rich Powell, Joyce Spoon and Arlene Smith for a second term. Board members can serve two three-year terms before leaving the board.

Officers elected were Mike Durham, president; Sam Rankin, vice president; Cori Cagle, secretary; and Allen Liles, treasurer. Officers are elected annually.

The Nominating Committee consisting of Arlene Smith, director-chair; Joyce Spoon, director; Susan Milner, non-director; and Ross Holt, non-director, was elected by acclamation. Other activities included recognizing departing board members Maria Bliss, Molly McCullah, Lois Kearns and former president Bettina C. Hunter.
