Church news from Randolph County is published each Wednesday in The Randolph Guide. To have your church's event listed, mail it to P.O. Box 1044 in Asheboro, drop it by our office at 431 S. Fayetteville St., fax it to (336) 625-1228 or e-mail it to Church news. Items can include revivals, special speakers, musical groups, bake sales, etc., and will run on a space available basis.
Sept. 13
7 a.m.- 10 a.m.: New Hope United Methodist Church in Seagrove, located off U.S. 220 South at Exit 49, holds a pancake and sausage breakfast fundraiser for Fred Curtis Marsh Jr. of Seagrove, a cancer patient with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. Plates will be $5 each. Donations can be sent to New Hope 4 Cancer, 682 Inwood Road, Asheboro, NC 27205.
7 a.m.-1 p.m.: Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 148 Drum St. in Asheboro, holds a yard sale, bake sale and silent auction. All proceeds will benefit Amber Cross and family for medical expenses. Breakfast items and hot dogs will be served.

Sept. 14
11 a.m.: Old Union United Methodist Church, 5077 Walker Mill Road in Sophia, celebrates its homecoming followed by a covered dish meal and a special musical service at 1:30 p.m.
1:30 p.m.: Tabernacle Methodist Church, 213 Tabernacle Church Road in Trinity, hosts the Resurrection Quartet.

Sept. 18
7 p.m.: The Dove Brothers Quartet are in concert at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church of Bennett, two miles west of Bennett on the Howards Mill Road. Call (336) 879-6280 for more information.

Sept. 20
7 a.m.: Greater Love Fellowship Ministries holds a yard sale followed by a hot dog sale at 11 a.m. at 5310 Sonny's Drive in Ramseur.
8 a.m.-2 p.m.: Maple Springs United Methodist Church, 6231 N.C. 22/42 in Ramseur, holds a bazaar in the church fellowship hall. Breakfast and lunch will be served featuring sausage and ham biscuits, coffee, juice, drinks, hot dogs, chips and dessert. Crafts, Christmas items, home-made cakes and pies, upholstery pillows, cushions, remnants and yard sale items will be available.
10 a.m.-1 p.m.: Grays Chapel United Methodist Church, 5056 N.C. 22 North in Franklinville, holds its annual women's bazaar featuring canned vegetables, pottery, baby items, aprons, gift baskets, frozen casseroles and a bake sale. Hot dogs and desserts will be sold all morning and breakfast items will be available beginning at 9:30 a.m. Church youth will hold a car wash from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. All proceeds will benefit mission projects.

Revivals/Meetings/Etc.
Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, 6808 Riverside Road in Seagrove, holds its revival at 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Sept. 28 and at 7 p.m. Sept. 30 through Oct. 3. Various speakers will be featured.
Stout's Chapel United Methodist Church, 3217 Holly Springs Road in Ramseur, holds it revival from Sept. 14 through Sept. 19. The Rev. James A. Curry is the speaker. Services will be at 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Sept. 14 and at 7 p.m. weeknights. Varioous speakers will be featured.

Hardee's of Ramseur, 148 Jordan Road in Ramseur, holds gospel singings from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. each Thursday.
Hardee's of Randleman, 704 W. Academy St. in Randleman, holds singings from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. each Monday.

October events include Mike and Kelly Bowling in concert Oct. 2, Lulu Roman of Hee Haw fame in concert Oct. 10 and Brothers Redeemed Quartet on Oct. 25. November events include Mayberry Values Days featuring The Dillards on Nov. 1 and Nov. 2, The New Vision Trio on Nov. 15 and Jesse McReynolds & The Virginia Boys on Nov. 29. Salt Box at the Asheboro Senior Center on Wainman Avenue holds a free gospel singing at the Asheboro Senior Center, 133 W. Wainman Ave., from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. each Friday.
