Church News

Church news from Randolph County is published each Wednesday in The Randolph Guide. To have your church's event listed, mail it to P.O. Box 1044 in Asheboro, drop it by our office at 431 S. Fayetteville St., fax it to (336) 625-1228 or e-mail it to Church news. Items can include revivals, special speakers, musical groups, bake sales, etc., and will run on a space available basis.

July 5

4 p.m.: The third annual Freedom Fest, sponsored by Seagrove Baptist Churches, is held at the Clay Presnell Park on Plank Road in Seagrove. Food, fun, fellowship and fireworks will be featured. Admission is free but donations will be accepted.

6 p.m.: New Beginnings Baptist Church, 1409 Southmont Drive in Asheboro, holds a gospel singing featuring Heart Felt. A meal will follow.

July 6

3 p.m.: The Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Asheboro holds its annual Pastor's Day. The Rev. Carvie Jones of Holly Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Rockingham is the guest speaker.

July 13

10 a.m.: Farmer Missionary Baptist Church in Asheboro hosts Kevin Spencer and Friends in concert. A love offering will be taken.

2:30 p.m.: Coxes Chapel United Methodist Church, 2542 Parks Crossroads Church Road in Ramseur, holds Women's Day.

Vacation Bible Schools

Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Asheboro holds its Vacation Bible School from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. July 7 through Jully 11 for children ages 5 and up. Transportation can be requested by July 6 by calling (336) 625-6909.

Antioch Christian Church in Erect holds its Vacation Bible School from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. July 13 through July 16. A hot supper will be served July 16.

Bojangles, 553 West Dixie Drive in Asheboro, holds gospel singings from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. each Saturday night.

Hardee's of Ramseur, 148 Jordan Road in Ramseur, holds gospel singings from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. each Thursday.

Hardee's of Randleman, 704 W. Academy St. in Randleman, holds singings from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. each Monday.

Great American Events Center on U.S. 64 East in Ramseur hosts gospel singing from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. each Sunday. A love offering will be taken.

Randleman School Commons, 130 W. Academy St. in Randleman, hosts free gospel singings at 6 p.m. each Saturday night. Call (336) 495-5229 for more information.

Salt Box at the Asheboro Senior Center on Wainman Avenue holds a free gospel singing at the Asheboro Senior Center, 133 W. Wainman Ave., from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. each Friday.
