ASHEBORO — George Harold Branning, 82, of Asheboro, died Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Randolph Hospital.
The funeral was held March 6 at Grace Baptist Temple, where he was a member, by Pastor Mark Myers and Dr. Jack Phillips. Burial with military rites was at the church cemetery.
He was an Indianapolis native, Korean War Marine veteran, Freewill Baptist Bible College graduate, had pastored several churches, and had worked at Tip Top Bakery, Thomas Tire and Asheboro Recycling.
Surviving are wife, Carrie S. Branning; daughters, Deborah Cox of Asheville, Sharon Walker of Grays Chapel, Mary Branning, Joy Branning, both of Asheboro; son, John Branning of Dallas; sisters, Margaret Gann, Mary Denton, both of Indianapolis; brother, Tom Branning of Indianapolis; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.

RANDLEMAN — John Thomas Coble, 81, of Randleman, died Tuesday, March 5, 2013.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., March 16, at Staley Wesleyan Church. Visitation will be at 10 a.m.
ASHEBORO — Carolyn Lucille Lawson Dunlap, 66, of Asheboro, died Friday, March 8, 2013, at Wake Forest Baptist Health.
A graveside service was held March 11 at New Hope Memorial Gardens by Dr. Ron Chaney.
She was a Surry County native, widow of Russell Dunlap, a farmer and worked at Acme-McCrary.
Surviving are daughter, Jeanette Allred of Asheboro; two grandchildren.

ARCHDALE — Geraldine Bellamy “Jerry” English, 92, of Archdale, died Sunday, March 3, 2013, at Hospice Home at High Point.
A memorial service was held March 8 at Archdale Friends Meeting, where she was a member, by Pastor Dave Mercadante.
She was a Clark County, Ga., native, widow of Gib English, North High School and Ideal Business College graduate, retired from the Furniture Manufacturer’s Credit Association, and member of the National Secretaries Association, the Professional Secretaries International, the American Business Women’s Association, the Pride and Patience Club, and the Eastern Star.
Surviving are cousins, nieces and nephews.
