RAMSEUR – John Randolph Brooks, 92, of 1204 Lineberry St., died Sunday, Nov. 20, 2011.
The funeral was held Nov. 23, 2011, at Parks Crossroads Christian Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Randy Kelley and the Rev. James Turner officiating. Burial with military honors was at the church cemetery.
He was the widower of Lorene L. Brooks, World War II Army veteran, and retired from Acme-McCrary and Briles Oil.
Survivors include daughter, Linda Brooks of Ramseur; son, Randy L. Brooks of Ramseur; sisters, Emogene Brooks Phillips of Siler City and Frances Caviness Spivey of Bear Creek; brother, George Robert "Bob" Brooks of Siler City; one grandson; five stepgrandchildren; eight stepgreat-grandchildren.

SEAGROVE – Joyce Comer Chriscoe, 74, of 1636 Chriscoe Road, died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2011.
A memorial service was held Nov. 18, 2011, at Ridge Funeral Home with Charles Reeder officiating. Burial was at Randolph Memorial Park.
She was a Moore County native and widow of Ray Chriscoe.
Surviving is a son, Danny R. Chriscoe of Seagrove.

TRINITY – Alton Eugene "Gene" Coltrane, 76, of Trinity, died Monday, Nov. 14, 2011, at High Point Regional Hospital.
The funeral was held Nov. 18, 2011, at Cumby Family Funeral Service with the Rev. Jim Bowen officiating. Burial with military rites was at Mt. Gilead United Methodist Church cemetery.
He was a Randolph County native, National Guard veteran and retired from Henredon Furniture.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy "Dot" Draper of the home; son, Terry Coltrane of Trinity; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
