BURLINGTON - Fred Walter Albright, 85, of Twin Lakes, died Thursday, March 27, 2008, at Alamance Regional Medical Center in Burlington.
A memorial service was held April 1, 2008, at First United Methodist Church of Elon.
He was a native of Stanly County, the widower of Betsy Smith Albright, served 29 years as the principal of Randleman Elementary School, was a former member of First United Methodist Church in Randleman, a member of the Raleigh Lions Club and formerly served on the Randleman Board of Alderman.
Surviving are his daughters, Jane Albright of Raleigh, Suzanne Knight of Raleigh and Tempy Albright of Winston-Salem; sister, Dewey Mae Hartsell of Mt. Pleasant; two grandchildren.

ASHEBORO - Adam Wayne "Jack" Beck, 83, of 1308 Old Cox Road, Apt. 22, Asheboro, died Friday, March 28, 2008, at his home.
A memorial service was held March 31, 2008, at Central United Methodist Church in Asheboro with Dr. Mark J. Key and the Rev. Barry Queen officiating.
He was a native of Davidson County, a graduate of Wake Forest University and Wake Forest University School of Law, practiced law with the firm of Beck, O'Briant, O'Briant & Glass, was a member of Central United Methodist Church, a member of the Kiwanis Club, active with the Boy Scouts and a former member of the board of directors of the Asheboro - Randolph Chamber of Commerce.
Surviving are his wife, Audrey C. Beck; sons, Dr. Mark C. Beck of High Point and Dr. Eric W. Beck of Winston-Salem; daughter, Emily Anne Beck of Greensboro; brother, Charles Sheffield Beck of Mebane; 10 grandchildren.

GREENSBORO - Hazel Greer Blackwelder, 81, of Greensboro, died Wednesday, March 26, 2008, at Moses Cone Hospital.
The funeral was held March 29, 2008, at Guilford College United Methodist Church. Burial was at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
She was a native of Rocky Mount, Va., the widow of Dr. Robert M. Wilhoit, a graduate of West End High School and the Carolinas College of Health Sciences, Charlotte Memorial Hospital, a volunteer at First United Methodist Church in Asheboro and Guilford College United Methodist Church in Greensboro, and served on the Asheboro board of the American Red Cross.
Surviving are her husband, Willis (Wick) Blackwelder of Greensboro; sons, Robert E. Wilhoit of Asheboro, Mark S. Wilhoit of Raleigh; stepson, Gene Blackwelder of Winston-Salem and Mike Blackwelder of Greensboro; brothers, Richard Greer of Southern Pines and Jay Greer of Aberdeen; sisters, Juanita G. Auman of Aberdeen and Ruth G. Wilson of Savannah, Ga.; five grandchildren.

She was a native of Hoke County, retired from Separation Service and a member of First Baptist Church in Ramseur.

She was a native of Randolph County, the widow of Roy O. Connor, a homemaker and a member of Panther Creek Baptist Church.

She was a native of Moore County, retired from The John Plant and was a member of Deep River Baptist Church.

ROBBINS - Iva Garner Dunlap, 87, of 735 Dan Road, died Saturday, March 29, 2008, at Pinelake Health & Rehabilitation.

She was a native of Randolph County and the widow of Joseph Dunlap.

She was a native of Clover, S.C., retired from Sapona Mfg. and a member of Cedar Falls Baptist Church.
Surviving are her sons, Gene Haithcock and Robert Haithcock, both of Franklinville and Gary Haithcock of Staley; daughters, Karen Howell and Anita Haithcock, both of Franklinville; sister, Janie Johnson of Randleman; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.

He was a native of Jacksonville, Fla., a graduate of Asheboro High School and Wingate College and was employed with Terkra Sales in Charlotte.

ASHEBORO - Frances Irene McNair Kearns died Wednesday, March 26, 2008, at Randolph Hospital.
A memorial service was held March 28, 2008, at Carillon Assisted Living in Asheboro with the Rev. George Roberson officiating. She had been a resident at Sunbridge and was a long time resident of Carillon Assister Living. Surviving is her sister, Martha Robbins.

ARCHDALE - Elder Clyde M. Kiser, 80, of North Pointe Archdale Assisted Living and formerly of 430 High Point St., Randleman, died March 24, 2008.
The funeral was held March 27, 2008, at Mechanicsville Primitive Baptist Church in High Point by Elder Billy Knight. Burial was in the church cemetery.
He was a native of Richlands, Va., the widower of Dixie Mae Anderkin Kiser, a graduate of Virginia Tech University, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, formerly owned and operated C.M Kiser Photography, formerly employed with Rayethon Corp., Massengill Corp. and Radiation Corp., a Primitive Baptist Elder and was a member of Mechanicsville Primitive Baptist Church in High Point.
Surviving are his daughters, Debbie Britt of Sophia and Cathy Gunter of Thomasville; brother, Angus Kiser of Hayward, Wis.; eight grandchildren.

ASHEBORO - Cletis O'Neil "Nub" Jarrett Jr., died March 27, 2008, at Randolph Hospital.
A memorial service was held March 29, 2008, at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, formerly employed with United Brass of Randleman, a member of the Greensboro Pony League All Stars that won the World War Series in 1968.
Surviving are his wife, Sue Presnell Jarrett of the home; parents Barbara Miller Richardson of Asheboro and Cletis O'Neil Jarrett of Greensboro; brother, Bobby Lee Jarrett; sister, Cynthia Gay Jarrett.

She was a native of Randolph County, the daughter of the late Lee J. and Frances Lynn Stone, a graduate of Salem College, was formerly employed in television production, working at WRAL-TV/Raleigh, the Corp. for Public Broadcasting/Washington, D.C., and Devillier Donegan Enterprises/Washington, D.C.
Surviving is her sister, Mrs. Joseph S. Sechler of Asheville; a niece and a nephew.

He was a native of Randolph County, a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran, retired from Alma Desk, formerly employed with Asheboro Housing Authority and a bus driver for Holiday Tours.
